Ashutosh Gowarikar has ventured into television with a fiction drama titled Everest, which he’ll be producing. The show, conceptualised by the film-maker, will be directed by Glenn and Ankush. When contacted, the makers were not ready to divulge any details about the show, however it is learned that the shooting will begin soon. There is top secrecy about the cast and the channel that it will air on.
A.R. Rahman will compose music for a television show for the first time with Everest, confirmed a source close to the project.
Interestingly, Everest has collaborated with the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarakhand where the lead actors of the show will be trained. The show will also be shot there majorly. Gowarikar had visited the place for a recce of sort, and was thoroughly impressed with its picturesque beauty.
Talking about shooting in Uttarakhand, the Jodha Akbar director says, “Despite the tragedy that befell this entire region last year, it’s heartening to see the way people of Uttarkashi have come to terms with it and life is once again normal. I’m happy to be shooting here for the next two months after which we will move to Nepal.”
Apurva Agnihotri to enter Pyaar Ka Dard Hai
After participating in the reality show Bigg Boss, actor Apurva Agnihotri will now be seen in Rajshri Productions’ Pyaar Ka Dard Hai on Star Plus. He will be seen opposite Aleeza Khan, who was last seen in Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga.
The character that Agnihotri plays will have negative undertones. Confirming the news, Agnihotri says, “This charachter is just going to get some tense momennts in the show. Even a negative character in a Rajshree show is not that negative, and has a reason to do what he’s doing, so I won’t be doing anything drastic. But I think more than the character, it was because of Sooraj Barjatya. The fact that I was getting the opportunity to work with Rajshri Productions , that was a motivating factor for me,” says Apurva.
