Remember the luring track Aaj phir tum pe pyar aaya from Hate Story 2 and Abhi abhi from Jism 2. These songs were composed by none other than Arko Pravo Mukherjee who recently composed and penned the lyrics for Meherbaani for the comedy film The Shaukeens.Meherbaani is a soft melodic romantic lyrical song with minimal instrumentation. I was asked to compose a beautiful song with Akshay Kumar and Michelle in a foreign location”, said Mukherjee as he describes the song he composed for The Shaukeens.
Mukherjee has also lent his voice for the EDM (Electro Dance Music) version of Meherbaani in a duet with Neeti Mohan. DJ Khushi, who also worked on the song Pyar mein dil pe for Tamanchey, has worked on the EDM version of Meherbaani. The dance number will be out by the end of November, after the film’s release. When asked if the EDM version has been inserted for promotional purposes, he insists that the track has been given a new twist for musical reasons. “I sent the original composition to Zee and they sent it to Akshay who liked it and decided to use it. I had earlier dubbed Akshay who rapped along with me on the title song of the dance reality show—Dare To Dance which was composed and written by me,” narrates Mukherjee while admitting that this is the first time his song, Meherbaani which is special to him, will be pictured on a big star, Akshay Kumar.
Little do people know that this musician is a qualified doctor who always wanted to compose music, but finally took the plunge after completing his studies.
