Screenwriter Anjum Rajabali, who is known for his work in Prakash Jha’s films like Satyagraha, Aarakshan and Raajneeti among others, has collaborated with director Mahesh Mathai (Bhopal Express fame) of Highlight Films for his next, which is a biopic of an army officer. He however refused to divulge the name of the army man..
When asked about the film, which is still under wraps, Rajabali said, “The film is based on a living person from the armed forces. We are still in the process of finalising the cast which will be decided by the end of this month as we are looking to rope in an A-list actor for the project.”
Rajabali has also completed drafting a Malayalam film for National Award-winning director Shaji N. Karun. The writer, interestingly, has also joined hands for a screenwriting programme. Mumbai Mantra Cine Rise Screenwriting Programme titled ‘100 Storytellers A Year’ that grooms screenwriting aspirants for the industry.
