Before 1945, Rana Daggubati announces his next project on Marthanda Varma

Rana Daggubati has signed yet another interesting project. The actor is still to share the details of the project but he has given some information on his Twitter account, making his fans curious.

Rana Daggubati is riding high with two hits this year with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Nene Raju Nene Mantri. The actor has already begun his next project titled 1945 and has been sharing some pictures of his look since day one. But now, the actor has another good news to share with his fans. Rana has started working on a new project based on Travancore king Marthanda Varma.

The actor took to Twitter and shared, “Anizham thirunal Marthanda Varma- the king of Travancore is the character I tell a story as soon. PreProduction in progress. The film will be directed by K.Madhu written by Robin Thirumala and Seven arts Mohan is the line producer on the film!!”

Ever since the success of Baahubali series, Rana has been choosing some interesting projects.

Meanwhile, his project 1945 is touted to be a period flick set in the pre-Independence era.

Recently, Rana had tweeted a pic with the caption, “Going to recreate time once again, Now it’s the year ‘1945’!! Filming for the second major schedule of my next #1945 begins today!!”

Reports suggest that Rana plays a soldier in the Subash Chandra Bose led army Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army). While Rana will lead the film, Regina Cassandra will be playing his love interest in this period drama.

Directed by Sathya Siva, 1945 is a bilingual made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.

While the Telugu version is titled 1945, its Tamil version is titled Madai Thiranthu. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing tunes for this film. Sathyaraj, Nasser and RJ Balaji will play pivotal roles. The film is bankrolled by SN Rajarajan under the banner K Productions.
