The shooting of south Indian remakes of Bollywood hit film Queen starring Kangana Ranaut, is going on at a steady pace in France. The lead female actors of the project Tamannaah, Kajal Aggarwal, Parul Yadav, Manjima Mohan, took a break from the ongoing filming to spend a day out in the exotic country.
While Kajal Aggarwal and Manjima Mohan were seemingly enjoying the weather and streets of France, Parul spent the day shopping. And Tamannaah visited the famous botanical garden Jardin Exotique de Monaco in Monaco.
In a unique effort, 2013’s super-hit Bollywood film is being remade in all four south Indian languages. Kajal and Parul will reprise Kangana Ranaut’s role in Tamil and Kannada remakes titled Paris Paris and Butterfly respectively, which are helmed by filmmaker Ramesh Aravind. The Telugu version has been titled Queen Once Again, and Malayalam one as Zam Zam, starring Tamannaah and Manjima Mohan respectively. Both will be directed by National Award-winning writer Neela Kanta.
Queen became a game changer for Kangana after it won multiple National Awards including the Best Actress. The film narrates the self-discovering journey of a traditional Delhi girl when she goes on a solo honeymoon trip to Paris after her wedding is called off by the groom.
Elli AvrRam and Shibani Dandekar have been roped in to play the role of Lisa Haydon in the southern remakes. Composer Amit Trivedi, who also composed scores for the original Hindi film, is also doing music for all four remakes.
The France schedule began earlier this month and is expected to be completed by December second week. The films are expected to hit the screens simultaneously in April next year.
