About his film, the director said in a press statement, “Our Mangalavaar is a village-based rare action-thriller set in 90’s backdrop. It sticks to our nativity with raw, rustic visuals and emotions. There are 30 characters in the story and every character has got a certain place in the larger scheme of the film. ‘Kantara’ fame Ajaneesh Loknath is scoring music for this film and thus the background score is going to be a major highlight of the film.”

Mangalvaar was wrapped up in 99 days, the film’s shoot concluded on June 12th and is now heading to the post-production phase. Backed by Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma under Mudra Media Works and A Creative Works, the Ajay Bhupati directorial will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages soon.
