While the Telugu folks are getting for the Dusshera festivities, the Tollywood fandom is uber excited about the movies vying for screen-space this October. With Naga Chaitanya, Ram Charan, Tamannaah, Prakash Raj and Priyamani waiting for a box office hit, the October month is heavily packed with at least five Tollywood movies releasing that week.
However, if you are in for all the four shows on October 7, you can get a mix of romance, comedy, horror, drama and action all in a single day.
Here are the five visual treats that we think you shouldn’t miss on Dusshera.
Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Hassan are all set for the Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster Premam, which featured Nivin Pauly and Sai Madhuri. The tailer of the movie already got a warm reception from the fans with the video on YouTube already registering more than 2 million views. The fans have already started comparing the Telugu Premam’s songs and trailer with its Malayalam counterpart. We all have to wait and watch whether the magic could be recreated in the Telugu version too.
The trilignual movie starring tri-stars — Tamannaah Bhatia, Prabhu Deva and Sonu Sood — is a subtle horror laced with comedy. The movie is touted to have some fantastic moves from Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah where both will be seen shaking a leg for a number in the movie. The movie’s promotions are also on full-throttle happening in all three languages in multiple cities. Abhinetri is releasing in Telugu, Devi(L) in Tamil and Tutak Tutak Tutiya in Hindi. You can also see Amy Jackson with a cameo role in the movies.
Mana Oori Ramayanam
Coming from five National Award winners, the movie is said to be an interesting and thrilling drama from Prakash Raj productions where the star himself is directing and taking a lead role in the movie opposite Priyamani as a female lead. The movie also has maestro Illayraja scoring music for the tracks.
Edu Gold Ehe
After Jakkanna movie this year, comedy star Sunil is coming with a second title Edu Gold Ehe. The actor will be romancing Sushma Raj and Richa Panai in the movie. Being directed by Veeru Potla, the film is produced by Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments. Well, with Sunil on board, if the script is fun-packed, the comedy will be assured.
Grandson of former Prime Minister H D Devegowda, Nikhil Kumar, will be debuting as a hero in this film. Under Mahadev’s direction, the story of this film is penned by Vijayendra Prasad. S S Thaman will score music for this film. Tammannaah Bhatia has also been roped in for a special song in the movie.
