Darshan Thoogudeepa’s wife Vijayalakshimi tells fans: ‘Those attempting to harm will be taken care of…’
Vijayalakshmi appealed for support and good deeds as her husband, Kannada star Darshan, faces murder charges.

The wife of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, Vijayalakshmi, met with the actor who is currently in judicial custody for the alleged murder of Renukaswamy, a fan who sent obscene messages to Darshan’s rumored girlfriend Pavithra Gowda. On Wednesday, Vijayalakshmi took to Instagram to share a message after meeting him.
She wrote at length asking fans and celebrities to stay calm and believe in the judicial process. “Call for all our celebrities. You all know how much Darshan loves you. It is sad that we are in this situation today and that we have to stay at a distance from him. I have spoken to him in detail about the situation outside and it has touched his heart,” she wrote.
“Darshan has urged all celebrities to stay calm and focus on doing good deeds. He is sure that he will be a part of your prayers,” Vijayalakshmi added. She emphasized their faith in the judicial system, and added, “I firmly believe that those attempting to harm Darshan through words/action during his absence will be taken care of by Mother Chamundeshwari.”

The statement comes at a time when many fans of Darshan were arrested for issuing death threats online to anyone who spoke out against the actor. Kannada actor Pritam filed a complaint after he was sent threats. Similarly, many Darshan fans have been harassing people online since the arrest of the actor.
Darshan and 16 others, including his friend Pavithra Gowda, face charges for allegedly killing 33-year-old Renukaswamy, whose body was discovered near a storm-water drain in Sumanahalli on June 9. Initial investigation has revealed the victim was tortured and killed, which has shocked the state. Police sources suggest that obscene messages sent by Renukaswamy to Gowda enraged Darshan, allegedly leading to the fatal incident.
