While Balakrishna is gearing up for the release of his 100th film Gutamiputra Satakarni, there seems to be some trouble with his 101.
Reports suggest that Balakrishna is bowing out of his next film, tentatively titled Rythu with director Krishna Vamsi.
While the actor expressed a lot of interest with the initial draft submitted by the director, he is reportedly not happy with Krishna Vamsi’s tuning. It is said there has been a communication gap between both as Balakrishna was not convinced with the final script, reported Telugu 360. If the reports are deemed accurate, Rythu has been kept on hold for now. It is also heard that the actor is in search of a director for his 101st film.
The 56-year-old — who has always picked up roles romancing young female actors in his movies till date — has signed this project with a role he never played before in his life, a 70-year-old farmer.
Rumours were also rife in both Tollywood and Bollywood that Amitabh Bachchan might be playing a role in Balakrishna’s Rythu as the actors were seen sharing a frame on the sets of RGV’s Sarkaar 3. However, this is just speculation which has not been confirmed by filmmakers yet. If this happens, this will be first time Bachchan will be seen in a Telugu film after he made a brief appearance in Manam.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna is waiting for the release of his next movie based on the life history of a warrior of the Satavahana empire in the second century CE, Gautamiputra Satakarni. The release of Gutamiputra also incidentally clashes with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie comeback film, Khaidi No 150.
