Actor Dhruva Sarja filed a Rs 5 crore defamation case against actor Sruthi Hariharan on behalf of his uncle Arjun Sarja at the Bengaluru City Civil Court on Thursday. The move came days after Sruthi had accused Arjun of misbehaving with her on the sets of Vismaya (2016).
A suit was filed against Sruthi hours before the meeting at the Karnataka Film Chambers of Commerce on the matter. Senior actor Ambareesh along with other members of Kannada film fraternity met today to amicably solve the conflict between Sruthi and Arjun, which has been making national headlines for the last few days.
Ambareesh individually met Sruthi and Arjun and heard their side of the story. But, he was unsuccessful in finding a solution today.
According to reports, Arjun made it clear he won’t settle for anything less than Sruthi’s public apology. And Sruthi was not ready to budge either.

Ambareesh told media that he was not on anyone’s side in the matter. The actor said he has suggested both of them to discuss the matter with their family and tell him their final decision.
Along with the defamation case, Arjun Sarja has also filed a police complaint against Sruthi Hariharan.
While Sruthi is yet to react to the legal proceedings initiated against her, on Wednesday she said she was prepared to fight her case legally. “I stand my ground and will always be there fighting for what I think is right,” she said in a statement on Wednesday.
