Only a few actresses like Manisha Koirala and Aishwarya Rai from Bollywood have had the unique opportunity to work with him in his films like Dil Se, Bombay, and Guru and Raavan respectively. This time, its Aditi Rao Hydari who has been handpicked by the director for his next magnum opus.

Mani Ratnam’s heroines are always known for their delicate and innocent looks coupled with powerful performances. Aditi, known for her porcelain looks and sensitive yet powerful performance was an instant fit for the lead role.
