Singing qawwali in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was challenging: Adnan Sami

Adnan Sami, who has sung Salman Khan's favourite song from "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", says the qawwali track was a challenge for him.

Pakistani singer Adnan Sami, who has crooned superstar Salman Khan’s favourite song from his upcoming film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, says the qawwali track was a challenge for him.

Salman and director Kabir Khan found Adnan apt for “Bhardo Jholi” and the 41-year-old singer-composer cannot be more grateful to them.

“It was a challenge to sing this song. But it was a great experience. I have heard lot of qawwalis but I hate imitating. It was a different experience but I enjoyed it,” Adnan told reporters here at a film’s promotional event of the film.

The film has already created waves with its trailer and hit numbers “Selfie Le Le Re” and “Tu Chahiye”.

“The trailer has got phenomenal response. I hope people will like the qawwali song as well,” Adnan said.

Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is set for an Eid release on July 15.
