Singer Louis Tomlinson has praised Simon Cowell for being “completely understanding” when he and his One Direction bandmates told him they wanted to go on a hiatus.
The “Night Changes” hitmaker has praised the 56-year-old music mogul, who formed the band, for not putting any pressure on the chart-topping group, which also includes Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, when they told him they wanted to take a break, reported Female First.
“Simon was completely understanding when we told him we wanted to go on a break. Not once did he put any pressure on us. Most people would’ve tried to give us at least a nudge. But he didn’t. That’s a real reflection of his character. Once you get to know him, he’s lovely and kind.”
The 24-year-old singer also revealed Cowell was one of the first people he told when he found out he was expecting a child, Freddie, now two months, with stylist Briana Jungwirth.
“Simon is one of the first people I told about my son, Freddie. You can trust him.”
