Educationist Madan Mohan Malaviya will receive Bharat Ratna posthumously. “Namaskar. Today the Government of India has chosen Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya ji and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the country’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna. I am very happy to get this news as I consider these two personalities as global gems,” the 85-year-old singer  posted on twitter.

“I have heard many great things about Malaviya ji from my father. I had the privilege to meet Vajpayee ji in person. I am dedicating a song sung by me, which was penned by him,” added Manheshkar along with a link of the song ‘Geet Naya  Gata Hu’ from the album ‘Antarnaad’.
