Music composer Aadesh Shrivastava’s last rites held in Mumbai

Aadesh Shrivastava is survived by his wife Vijaita and sons Anivesh and Avitesh. He was also composer duo Jatin-Lalit and actor Sulakshana Pandit’s brother-in-law.

When filmmaker Anees Bazmee’s Welcome Back released on Friday, not many knew that composer Aadesh Shrivastava’s 22-year-long musical career had come full circle.

Hours after Shrivastava’s final music credit rolled out in the cinemahalls on September 4, which was also his birthday, the 49-year-old composer breathed his last at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Vijaita and sons Anivesh and Avitesh. Shrivastava was also composer duo Jatin-Lalit and actor Sulakshana Pandit’s brother-in-law.

Members of the film and music industry turned out in full attendence at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.

Among those present to pay their last respects were Amitabh Bachchan, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Anil Kapoor, Shekhar Kapoor and Abhijeet Bhattacharya among others.
