Justin Bieber’s lookalike and fan Tobias Strebel, who was known for spending around USD 100,000 to look similar to the pop star, reportedly died of drug overdose.
According to the autopsy report, excessive amounts of narcotic painkillers and prescription drugs including oxycodone, hydrocodone, Xanax and other sleep aids were found in Strebel’s system when he was found dead last year, said The Hollywood Reporter.
He was found dead in a Motel 6 room on August 21 last year in North Hills, California. In 2014, Strebel appeared on TLC’s My Strange Addiction and E!’s Botched where he claimed to have spent nearly USD100,000 on procedures to look like Bieber.
“When Justin Bieber got famous, I was so jealous of his good looks,” he said on the reality show. “He had this baby face that I just really liked. I was like ‘Damn, that’s what I want to look like!'”
After going through multiple hair transplants and surgeries to fully imitate the Baby singer youthful look including his famous bangs, eyebrow filler and his smile, Tobias Strebel was happy with his tranformation which he has gone through for almost over the course of seven years and had said on the TLC show that he can definitely look back and say that all those surgeries were really successful.
In the autopsy report obtained by TMZ, Strebel’s cause of death is listed as “multiple drug intoxication.”
