In the highly anticipated Album of the Year category, American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s album “Midnights” emerged as the winner. She secured the award by surpassing nominees such as SZA, Jon Batiste, boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, Janelle Monáe and Olivia Rodrigo.
In another big win of the night, American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” bagged the award for Record of the Year. Miley won the trophy defeating bigwigs like SZA (Kill Bill), Taylor Swift (Anti-Hero) and Billie Eilish (What Was I Made For?). Earlier in the day, the song had also earned Cyrus the award for Best Pop Solo Performance. American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish’s ballad “What Was I Made For?” from Greta Gerwig’s fantasy comedy Barbie was named the Song of the Year at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. The song also won the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media during the ceremony.

They were nominated in the race Grammys with artists like Susana Baca, Bokante, Burna Boy and Davido. The 66th Annual Grammy Awards 2024 are being held in Los Angeles.
Zakir Hussain also received the Best Global Music Performance Grammy for his contribution to “Pashto”, where he collaborated with Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer, featuring Rakesh Chaurasia. Killer Mike was detained at the Grammy Awards on Sunday after the rapper and activist won three Grammy awards including his first in more than two decades.
In a video posted by the trade website The Hollywood Reporter, Mike was escorted in handcuffs by Los Angeles police at Crypto.com Arena after some joyous moments for him at the Grammys’ Premiere Ceremony on Sunday, where he won his awards in quick succession.
Police spokesperson Officer Mike Lopez said Mike being detained stemmed from an altercation inside the arena around 4 pm. Read more

During his acceptance speech, he gave a shout-out to Swift, who is nominated for Album Of The Year for Midnights and Record and Song of the Year for "Anti-Hero", for boosting his career by recruiting him for her album 1984.

India woke up to a happy Monday morning as musicians Shankar Mahadevan and Zakir Hussain's 'Shakti' band won the Best Global Music Album award for 'This Moment' at Grammys 2024.
In an acceptance speech, Mahadevan said, "Thank you boys. Thank you God, family, friends and India. India, we are proud of you." His shout-out to the nation evoked a loud cheer from the crowd.
Mahadevan also thanked his wife for her constant support.
"Last but not the least, I would like to dedicate this award to my wife whom every note of my music is dedicated to," he added.
The group also features guitarist John McLaughlin, percussionist V Selvaganesh and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan.
