Grammy Award-winning DJ and music producer David Guetta swept his adoring fans off their feet as he belted out some of his popular numbers at a concert here Friday night.
From teenagers to adults, all the audience were seen swaying to the beats of the French DJ as he performed here at the Buddh International Circuit grounds.
The singer, dressed casually in jeans and a jacket, greeted the crowd with his popular numbers like “Play hard”, “She wolf” and “Baby shot me down”.
“New Delhi, I’m so happy to be back in India. I came here like two and a half years ago. I didn’t even know if people will be liking the music or not, and since that moment when I came last time, I saw all those festivals exploding in India. This is so amazing and I am so excited to be back. You guys ready? Let’s go.. , ” he said amid his performance, drawing frenzied cheers from the crowd.
As the performance gained momentum, his fans’ excitement knew no bounds and they started to hop up and down with Guetta, who happily interacted with them by shaking his hands.
Guetta’s popularity even drew fans from Punjab and Haryana, while many elderly people seemed to have been dragged by their children to attend the event.
R. Malhotra, 56, says he came to the concert because of his children but had a really nice time.
While the diehard fans waited for more than an hour before Guetta started performing, he more than made up for it with his enthralling and energetic performance.
Guetta is set to perform at Enchanted Village Carnival, Aamby Valley Saturday.
