A few months ago, music composer Amaal Malik announced that he is cutting all ties with his family. He had blamed his parents for this decision and also spoke about battling depression. Later, Amaal deleted the post and reconciled with his family. Now, his younger brother, singer Armaan Malik has opened up to SCREEN about their current equation. While Armaan revealed that the family has grown closer, he also shared that his latest song “Baari Baari” is a collaboration with them, which Armaan planned to release around his brother Amaal’s birthday.

Talking about their equation after the controversy, Armaan Malik said, “I think as a family we have gotten closer than ever before. I am so glad that Amaal and I had the song Baari Baari together, which has just been released. It’s a very special song to have come now because we have been able to come closer than ever before. The past few months have been tough, but all of that is behind us.”

“Amaal’s birthday was on June 16th, and the song was released on June 18th. I planned this birthday release for him. He is everything for me. Amaal is not just a composer or collaborator who makes songs for me to sing; he was the guy to make me learn my first song ever. We have pictures and videos where he his playing the casio and I am singing. We have seen life together and that translates everywhere, whether it is music or who we are as people. I don’t think we have ever been stronger than we are today,” Armaan concluded.
