Singer and music director Anu Malik’s daughter, Anmoll’s debut single, ‘Lamhein’ is a recreation of Coldplay’s 2011 hit, ‘Paradise’ from their album Mylo Xyloto, like she claimed.
Directed by Mohit Suri, the music is re-created by Anu Malik with the tune sounding the same as ‘Paradise’.
The video features Anmoll Mallik herself along with ‘Fugly’ actor Mohit Marwah who is nephew of Anil Kapoor. Anmoll is seen as a songstress who finds success and confidence in the music industry, thanks to her boyfriend, played by Mohit.
Unfortunately and predictably, tragedy strikes she she steadily gains fame and fortune, leaving him far behind. Fights and tears are what tears them apart all to the tune of ‘Paradise’.
Before the song’s release, Anmoll had said, “‘Lamhein’ relates the tale of a girl’s rise to fame and how it affects those around her. Sometimes you don’t realise how precious a moment is until it becomes a distant memory. ‘Lamhein’ is about desperately seeking those moments that may never come back.”
The song has been penned by Manoj Mantoshri of ‘Galliyaan’ fame.
Director Mohit Suri seemed to pleased with how the video had shaped up, “I almost feel the same nervous energy which I felt during my first film release considering this is my first attempt at a non-film music video. I sincerely hope that the audience enjoys the song and the video as much as we have enjoyed making it,” he had said. (With IANS Inputs)
