Rich mans wife takes a roll in the hay with a third party. Said roll-in-hay becomes an instrument of blackmail. Blackmailer and blackmailee take turns in trying to outsmart the other. Turns out that the filmmaker has been the smartest of them all, having managed to make a film like this one,and get it out in theatres for the unsuspecting punter to walk in. Actually this a remake of the directors own 2006 Tamil film (Thiruttu Payale; those who have seen it assure me that it that was terrible). Succeeding in making it twice over is truly smart. Neil Nitin Mukesh is Sooraj,a fellow who thinks that honesty is the worst policy. So he lies and cheats, and, having got his paws on Monica (Patel) and her lover in various uncompromising positions, thinks his life is made. Off he goes with his pals on a Kenyan safari (Why Kenya? Who knows. Why safari? Who cares) where he meets the girl of his dreams (Gupta).
There is also a Gujju speaking fellow (Hirjee) who shows up with four Black women in tow. These women show us that Indian A list actresses who engage in item numbers could learn some shimmying from them. Some Black men, carrying swords and sticks, arrive next, all in fancy dress, and set upon our hero, who shows he can kick and punch with the best of them.
You can understand Ameesha Patel saying yes to something like this because clearly she isnt flooded with offers. But why is Mukesh so desperate? Im not getting into what happens next. Suffice it to say,I wasnt feeling very smart when I left the theatre after two and a half hours of this drivel.
