After spending more than 17 years in the film industry, Trisha has finally signed her first Malayalam film opposite actor Nivin Pauly. The film will be directed by popular filmmaker Shyama Prasad. The film has been titled Hey Jude and will go on floors in March next year.
Trisha is yet to make an official announcement as she is still mourning the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Talking to media, Trisha, who was in Kerala shooting for an upcoming film, regretted that she could not make it to the Rajaji Hall to pay her last respects to the late political leader.
“Rip my most favourite person(sic) D throne awaits U on d other side.Truly proud 2 hav studied in d same alumini n honoured 2 hav met u.#myAMMA,” she posted on her Twitter handle. Trisha did her schooling at Church Park, which was also attended by Jayalalithaa.
Director Selvaraghavan congratulated Trisha on Twitter, calling Nivin a fantastic actor.”Congrats @trishtrashers .. convey my regards to @NivinOfficial , a fantastic actor,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Trisha is on a roll. Following the success of her last film Kodi, the actor has signed several interesting big ticket films. Trisha has been roped in to play the female lead in VIjay Sethupathi’s next film. The film will be directed by Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame cinematographer Prem Kumar.

She is also shooting for the sequel to 2014 scam movie, Sathuranga Vettai, which has yesteryears heartthrob Arvind Swamy in the lead role. The pair has teamed up for the first time in their long and successful careers in Kollywood.
