(Credit: Facebook/@OfficialParvathy)Parvathy Thiruvothu never shies away from speaking her mind and that trait has earned her both a devoted fan base and a fair share of haters; yet, she remains unapologetically herself. The National Award-winning actor recently opened up about her personal life, particularly her past relationships and journey searching for love. She also spoke about losing a “wonderful person” due to her struggles with mental health, which she was unable to manage effectively at the time. Parvathy also revealed that while she is on a few dating apps, she has yet to fully embrace the concept.
In an interview with Filmfare, she spoke about her past battles with mental health and how they significantly affected her eating habits, which in turn impacted some of her relationships. “During that time, I was dating a wonderful person, but I was short-tempered, and even my hunger made me angry, which ruined the relationship. After many years, I met him and apologised. That experience taught me to be more cautious before entering into a relationship,” she said, Mathrubhumi reported.

The actor further stated that she maintains cordial relationships with her ex-boyfriends while also ensuring clear boundaries. Mentioning that she has been single for the past three years, Parvathy clarified that she has, however, never been romantically involved with actors or directors. Nevertheless, she did share that she has dated people from the technical side of the film industry.
Reflecting on her experience with dating apps, she admitted, “I find it strange to ‘buy’ people for relationships. I do check these apps occasionally, but most of the time, I keep my accounts suspended. I would rather fall in love the traditional way. I believe in falling in love after truly getting to know each other. Ideally, it would be great if the person is from the same field.”
