Malayalam actor Meera Jasmine headed for divorce?

Malayalam actor Meera Jasmine is reportedly considering of applying for divorce from husband Anil John Titus. The actor who took a break after her marriage in 2014, returned to the big screen this year with 10 Kalpanakal.

According to reports, she has now planned to settle down in India and focus on her acting career. After wedding, she moved to Dubai to stay with her husband. Rumors have it that Anil is upset with Meera’s decision to resume her acting career and is touted to be the main reason for causing a rift between the couple.

However, both Meera and Anil have been tight-lipped and made no efforts to clear the air as yet.

Meera’s marriage to Anil had made headlines even before, for all the wrong reasons. The couple got married under controversial circumstances. The Dubai-based software engineer had sought police protection to marry Meera in Trivandrum, as he was afraid that the relatives of his first wife might try to disrupt the wedding. Later, registration officials refused to register their marriage citing various reasons.

According to reports, Anil had failed to produce the divorce certificate from his first wife.

Following the wedding, Meera stopped acting and moved to Dubai. However, she made a comeback with editor Don Max’s directorial debut 10 Kalpanakal, in which she essayed the role of a police officer. She has also acted in upcoming film Poomaram, which marks the debut of actor Kalidas Jayaram in Malayalam.

Meera is a well-known face in the south Indian film industry as she has acted in many hit films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.
