Kunchako Boban joins forces with Shahi Kabir for another thriller: ‘Teaming up with the man of the moment’

Actor Kunchacko Boban is set to star in the directorial debut of Kerala State Award-winning editor Kiran Das, tentatively titled Panorama Studios Production No. 3. The film’s screenplay is written by Nayattu writer Shahi Kabir.

Alongside Kunchacko Boban, the film features an ensemble cast including Lijomol Jose, Sudheesh, Shaju Sreedhar, Krishnapraba, Sibi Thomas, Sabumon, Arun Cherukavil, Vineeth Thattil, Unni Lalu, Nithin George, Kiran Peethambaran, Jolly Chirayath, Thankam Mohan, Sreekanth Murali, and Ganga Meera. The project is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series Films, and Panorama Studios, and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.

Announcing the upcoming film, Kunchako Boban wrote on Instagram, “To New Beginnings …New Dreams….New Hopes…& Hopefully great Movies!!!! Teaming up with the man of the moment Shahi Kabeer @shahi_kabir Panorama Studios @panorama_studios Gulshan Kumar,Bhushan Kumar and T Series films.”

According to the makers, the yet-untitled film “follows an individual tormented by inner turmoil who becomes consumed by a chilling, long-pending unsolved case whispered to be touched by the supernatural. Every revelation intensifies the suspense, as the fragile line separating reality from delusion threatens to vanish entirely.”

Film editor-turned-director Arun Das is known for his work on films such as Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Joseph, Ishq, and Joji, among others. Shahi Kabir, meanwhile, has written acclaimed films like Joseph, Nayattu, and Officer on Duty. He has also directed Ela Veezha Poonchira and Ronth.

Kunchacko Boban will next be seen in Ratheesh Balakrishna Poduval’s comedy Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil, where he stars alongside Dileesh Pothan, Sajin Gopu, and Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram. He also has the highly anticipated multi-starrer espionage thriller Patriot in the pipeline, in which he shares the screen with Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Fahadh Faasil. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film is slated for release in the second half of next year.
