When asked about paying Rs 16 lakh for a PR campaign outside the Bigg Boss house, an emotional Anumol told Asianet, “Many people are saying that I won this title spending Rs 16 lakhs on various PR teams. That’s not true. I don’t have that kind of money. I was informed about this PR aspect just before entering the show. I was told that everyone who participates in Bigg Boss has PR support. So, I got a bit scared as I had never thought of that. So I got the contact of one such PR person and asked them the price. They told me Rs 15 lakh. But I didn’t choose that and went for the Rs 1 lakh option. I paid Rs 50,000 as an advance, and the rest 50,000 I will be paying now since I won the title. I have no idea who started this story about the Rs 16 lakh PR payment. This is the only truth.”
She added, “I really worked hard for this trophy. I have suffered so much in that house. Bigg Boss is always watching me, right? I have no issue admitting that I do have PR assistance, like every other contestant in the show. But I don’t have Rs 15 or 16 lakh in my hand to pay for a PR campaign. If that was the case, I would not have even come to participate in this program.”

Anumol also shared her thoughts on the qualities she believes are essential for anyone hoping to win Bigg Boss. “I don’t think drama is a must for someone to be a winner. You just need to be genuine in order to win in this game. That is what I feel. Everyone knows my basic nature since I have some visibility due to my profession. So if I suddenly start engaging in drama, people will easily figure it out. So I just remained the same Anumol from the start to this very moment.”
