MAMA Awards 2025 Day 2: Days after the disastrous structure fire in Hong Kong where 128 people died, the major Asian music ceremony, the MAMA Awards 2025, moved forward with its first night on Friday, where globally renowned stars ROSÉ, ENHYPEN, and IVE emerged as early top winners. Now, the event is set to enter its second day, with actress Kim Hye-soo hosting the closing ceremony.

Day 2 promises a high-impact lineup: G-Dragon’s highly anticipated return, Aespa’s futuristic stages, and Stray Kids’ trademark intensity are expected to headline the explosive finale. With TXT (Tomorrow X Together) and Riize also performing, the evening is shaping up to be a showcase of Gen Z charisma. Other performers for the night include All Day Project, Cortis, Kickflip, Idid, Izna, JO1, and Kyoka. The major Daesang categories to be awarded on the final night include Album of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Often hailed as the “Grammys of Asia,” the MAMA Awards opened its first night under the lead of actor and singer Park Bo-gum. Enhypen emerged as the top winners with three awards, while Rosé claimed Song of the Year. BoyNextDoor won Favorite Male Group, Hearts2Hearts and Cortis were named Best New Artist, and Super Junior received the Inspiring Achievement Award.

Beyond the accolades, the 2025 ceremony delivered high-energy stages from IVE, Enhypen, BoyNextDoor, Yeonjun, Treasure, I-dle, Super Junior, BabyMonster, Alpha Drive One, Meovv, TWS, Hearts2Hearts, NCT Wish, and Bumsup. The ceremony is organised by CJ ENM through its music channel Mnet. The 27th edition carries the theme “Hear My Roar: uh-heung,” a Korean expression symbolising fun and excitement. The show is broadcast via Mnet, TVING, and, for the first time, streamed live on HBO Max.

In the wake of the tragic Hong Kong fire, several K-pop artists, entertainment labels, and fanbases have collectively donated millions in aid. As the death toll rises to more than 100, some performers, including the Hong Kong boy group Mirror, have announced their withdrawal from the event.

The final day of the MAMA Awards 2025 will begin at 6:30 pm HKT, 7:30 pm KST, and 4 pm IST.
