Curious Story Y: Kim Sae-ron’s family claims Kim Soo-hyun blocked TV show proving he dated her as a minor

He continued, “From the outset of his appointment, attorney Ko Sang-rok persistently demanded the bereaved family’s stance and evidence disclosure on his YouTube channel and welcomed the SBS investigative program interview. However, after viewing some of the materials we presented through the SBS PD, he abruptly shifted his stance, demanding that the materials not be disclosed.”

Accusing Kim Soo-hyun’s lawyer of media tactics, he said, “He unilaterally engaged in threatening media tactics, such as claiming that the bereaved family would face civil and criminal measures or even arrest if they disclosed the evidence.”

He claimed that it was Kim Soo-hyun’s lawyer’s media tactics that pushed the late actor’s mother to release the evidence herself. “Despite the investigative authorities’ recommendations to avoid media contact, attorney Ko Sang-rok’s excessive media tactics continued, leading Kim Sae-ron’s mother to release her first official statement via a press release on November 26,” he said.

The bereaved family further claimed, “Attorney Ko Sang-rok stated on his YouTube channel after reviewing the memo through the SBS PD on Tuesday, November 11, that the word ‘military’ was absent from the memo. However, after Kim Sae-ron’s mother publicly disclosed a forensic extraction of Kim Sae-ron’s September 28, 2017 memo—which confirmed the presence of the word ‘military’—on November 26, attorney Ko Sang-rok attempted to frame the bereaved family for evidence manipulation by claiming there were two versions.”

Attorney Bu Ji-seok, who released call recordings and transcripts with the SBS PD of ‘Curious Story Y’, emphasised, “Attorney Ko Sang-rok had seen the same memo extracted through forensics, which Kim Sae-ron’s mother disclosed on November 26, via the SBS PD on November 11. Despite this, he mistakenly claimed not to have seen the word ‘military’ due to his own oversight and repeatedly attempted to frame us for manipulation. I earnestly request that attorney Ko Sang-rok refrain from tarnishing our reputation for his career and await the investigative authorities’ results, which will be released soon.”

Later, Kim Soo-hyun’s lawyer, refuted Bu Ji-seok’s claims and said, “I have neither the power to block the broadcast nor have I attempted to do so.”

On the 1st, attorney Ko Sang-rok posted on his personal YouTube channel, “Attorney Bu Ji-seok seems to have decided to focus entirely on ‘messenger attacks,’ far removed from the core of the case. If you are to release a third statement this week, please stop distorting the essence of the case with non-essential claims and answer the five key questions I have consistently requested.”

A memo which was forensically extracted from Hyun’s phone contained messages like, “Can’t I say I want to spend every remaining day with you? Oppa, it’s not just because of the military. We have many obstacles to overcome. The first is my visible presence. If you truly meant to meet me again, I can wait. Not wait, but keep loving you.” Ron’s mother argued that “These are expressions only possible between lovers. It’s evident they were already in a romantic relationship before the memo was written on September 28, 2017.” In addition, the previously mentioned handwritten note had Ron referring to Hyun as her “first and last love”.

Ron was born in 2000, which means that during the above conversations, she was a minor. Phrases like “I want to see you right now” and “I am completely undressed” were also found in the memo, and Ron’s mother said, “This proves they were lovers.”
