Emma Watson who played the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series went to watch the play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London, on Wednesday and came out feeling amazed. The actress was as mesmerised by Noma Dumezweni as Potterheads have been by her all these years.

“I came in with no idea what to expect and it was AMAZING. Some things about the play were, I think, possibly even more beautiful than the films. Having seen it I felt more connected to Hermione and the stories than I have since Deathly Hallows came out, which was such a gift,” she wrote in her Facebook post.

Watson couldn’t help but shower praises for Noma Dumezweni, the theatre actress who played Hermione on stage. On social media,  she even shared a few pictures she had clicked with the cast and crew.

“Meeting Noma and seeing her on stage was like meeting my older self and have her tell me everything was going to be alright, which as you can imagine was immensely comforting (and emotional)!,” she wrote.

Dumezweni too, took to social media to express warm compliments for the actress.

Much earlier, JK Rowling had urged all her fans to not leak the plot of her play and keep it secret. Emma Watson kept her word but assured other Potterheads that it was amazing. The book will be released on July 31.
