Natalie Portman is all set to woo the audience in her upcoming pop-music thriller flick, Vox Lux. The trailer leaves us with a sense of intrigue about Portman’s characterisation, which evokes a lot of curiosity. Actor-turned-director Brady Corbet has directed the movie and the trailer looks extremely promising. Portman is playing Celeste, an intrepid pop star born out of a tumultuous and a tragic past.
The compelling trailer, without giving away much information, gives us the taste of what kind of tone to expect from the film. It sheds light on Portman’s Celeste, who looks strong and unabashed. In the intro scene, Celeste is in conversation with a journalist about her new album, of which she says “It’s about rebirth”. The inquisitive trailer hints at the movie’s powerful, jarring interpretation of the contemporary world we live in today, and how Celeste deals with the adversaries. It keeps the viewers hooked till the end by highlighting Portman’s vivacious performance and a high-intensity euphonic background score.
