Terminator: Dark Fate has been leaked online by piracy website Tamilrockers. The film is the direct sequel to 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day and the original Terminator of 1984.
Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 “Model 101” return from the original film. They team up with Mackenzie Davis’ Grace, a soldier-assassin who is cybernetically enhanced and basically fights like a Terminator.
Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta also star in Tim Miller directorial Terminator: Dark Fate.
As the name suggests, Tamilrockers was earlier limited to only Tamil movies, but has since gradually expanded its reach to Bollywood movies, TV shows, web series and Hollywood films
The piracy website has not stopped being a troublemaker despite an order by the Madras High Court. Tamilrockers continues to work through proxy servers and keeps changing its domain, making it difficult to block the website.
The Indian Express film critic Shalini Langer gave Terminator: Dark Fate two stars. She concluded the review by saying, “More than the future, Dark Fate is prescient about the present. It looks for answers in Mexico (spending a good time there), gets its sexual politics right, and suggests that down whichever road we go, we may be headed for the same end. Carl calculates that as things exist, there is “74% chance of humanity descending into barbarism”. You may snigger at that figure, but perhaps not at another one: in this Terminator timeline, a dystopian future is less than 25 years away.”
