Fans of the DC Comics have seen Batman fighting the Joker and Superman killing General Zod but unless you have read all of these comic books, (that is before Christopher Nolan decided to make the Dark Knight trilogy and produce Man Of Steel) you wouldn’t be well introduced the monsters of the comics.
‘It feels good to be bad, keeping this motto in mind, a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated super-villains have gathered in your nearest theatre. As the saying goes, a known devil is better than an unknown one, it’s time you better know these popular villains before you hit the theatres.
The Joker ( Jared Leto)
Thanks to Christopher Nolan and Heath Ledger, this character needs no introduction. The Joker personifies chaos and embraces every single dangerous risks he takes. Batman’s greatest, most unpredictable adversary, he is also Arkham Asylum’s most infamous resident, as well as the love of Squad member Harley Quinn’s life. This role will be played by Academy Award-winner Jared Leto.
Deadshot ( Will Smith)
Deadshot is also known as Floyd Lawton, is a career mafia hit man and possibly the best marksman in the world. A stone cold pro who works alone, trusting no one, his one soft spot is his young daughter, Zoe, whom both Amanda Waller and Colonel Rick Flag use as means to exploit the precision gunman into joining their mission. The character Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) is a high-ranking government official who uses political connections, intelligence, guile, and sheer intimidation to achieve her aims in the name of national security. Will Smith will be taking on the role of Deadshot.
Harley Quinn ( Margot Robbie)
‘The life of Harley Quinn, began as Dr. Harleen Quinzel who treated the criminally insane patients at Arkham Asylum. The Joker happened to be one of her patients until he turned the tables on her. As crazy as she is desirable, Harley views life as one big, chaotic joke. Actress Margot Robbie will cast her spell in the role.
Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney)
An Australian roughneck, Captain Boomerang is devious, scheming and ruthless but that’s his good side. Utilising an assortment of his trademark weapon — razor-sharp, incendiary and electrically charged boomerangs — his wise-cracking attitude and short fuse often irritate the other Squad members and escalate the already dangerous situation. Jai Courtney plays the role.
Diablo (Jay Hernandez)
Diablo has a face bearing a tattooed skull. The one time gang member has the ability to create and manipulate fire to do his bidding. But he is haunted by the misdeeds he had committed previously and if he allows his temper to flare, there’s no telling how much destruction he might cause. Jay Hernandez plays Diablo.
Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje)
A huge man for whom evolution is working backward, Killer Croc’s square jaw, cracked and scaly skin and toothy grin evoke the most fearsome of reptiles, but it’s his skill at surviving and maneuvering in dark, dank, filthy sewers that makes him a deadly foe when he’s in his element.
Dr. June Moone/ Enchantress: Possessed by Enchantress (Cara Delevingne)
A diaphanous, ethereal, wickedly beautiful witch as old as time—June Moone struggles to hold on to her humanity while being overpowered by the seductress. And as long as Amanda Waller quite literally holds Enchantress’s heart, June remains a servant to both women, and the siren remains at the whim of her captor until she can rise to reclaim all that she has lost.
Slipknot (Adam Beach)
Slipknot – aka Christopher Weiss – is a master in the use of elaborate ropes and tackle, including unbreakable ones. This trained assassin can climb anything.
Katana (Karen Fukuhara)
Dressed in Samurai-inspired, street fighter garb and ballistic facemask, Katana wields the Soultaker, a large Samurai sword that traps the souls of all its victims. A cold-blooded killer, she serves as a member of the Squad, but is also there as an associate of Colonel Rick Flag to keep the others in line.
