Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar has ditched her blonde locks and debuted brunette hair which she sports in the new “Cruel Intentions” TV spin-off.
Sarah will reprise her role as Kathryn Merteuil in NBC’s upcoming “Cruel Intentions” sequel series of her cult classic movie.
“#brownhairdontcare (actually kind of love it!!) thank you everyone @andylecomptesalon,” the 38-year-old actress captioned the photo.
The series is set to pick up 15 years after the film, and will see Kathryn (Sarah) vie for control of Valmont International and the soul of Bash Casey, who is the son of her late brother Sebastian Valmont and Annette Hargrove, played in the film by Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon.
Witherspoon will not be reprising her role for the NBC TV pilot, and “Drop Dead Diva” star Kate Levering has been cast in her place.
Nathalie Kelly will also appear in the reboot as Kathryn’s right-hand woman.
The film’s original writer-director Roger Kumble and producer Neal H Moritz are both involved in the series.
