Actresses Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman will star in upcoming HBO limited event series “Big Little Lies”.
“Ally McBeal” writer David E Kelley is adapting author Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel for the premium channel, reported The Wrap.
The novel tells the story of a parents’ night at a charming primary school devolving into a full-scale riot.
One parent ends up dead, leaving the community to question how their civility unravelled in one terrifying night.
HBO recently found awards season success with another limited series based on the hit novel Olive Kitteridge.
“Big Little Lies” will be the latest HBO project for Kidman, who previously starred in the network’s critically-acclaimed film “Hemingway & Gellhorn”.
No air date has yet been set for “Big Little Lies”.
