Actress Melanie Griffith has been married thrice and the she says she can no longer see the point in marriage.
The “Working Girl” actress was married to Don Johnson for six months in 1976 and again from 1989 to 1996, wed Steven Bauer in 1982 and split five years later, and finalised her divorce from Antonio Banderas after 18 years of marriage last December.
The 58-year-old actress insists the institution is “archaic” and she doesn’t think it makes sense to exchange vows anymore, reported New York Daily News.
“Don’t get married. That would be my advice. There’s no need. You either go through the whole thing of pre-nuptial, or if you want to get divorced and you don’t have a pre-nuptial, then you wish you had a pre-nuptial. Marriage seems archaic to me.”
