Actors Kim Coates, Tyler Ross and Lauren Velez star in the upcoming indie film “Officer Downe”, which is based on the graphic novel of the same name.
Reno Wilson and Bruno Gunn have also joined the cast of the film that is a live-action adaptation of Joe Casey and Chris Burnham’s graphic novel, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Slipknot co-founder and drummer M Shawn Crahan will make his directorial debut with the film about an LA supercop who is routinely killed in the line of duty, then repeatedly resurrected and sent back out onto the streets.
Casey wrote the script for the project, which is based on the comic that is on the Man of Action imprint at Image Comics.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better group of actors here. The way they’re all bringing the thunder, we’re absolutely gonna melt brains with this flick,” said Casey.
