This is the decade of superhero movies. After Marvel creating a massive shared universe (called Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU) of their comic-book superheroes, DC jumped into the fray and now the first flagship movie of DC Extended Universe, Justice League’s release is around the corner. Of course, Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok will release before it and with the promotion it has seen and the early reviews, it is a worthy contender. Justice League is based on the superhero team of DC’s top superheroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg. Just like Marvel’s The Avengers, they also united against a common threat to the world.
As part of the promotion, makers of Justice League have released a short video introducing the character of Cyborg, one of DC’s most enigmatic characters. He is a half man and half machine. Or as the caption of the video says, “Half man. Half machine. All Super Hero.” Ray Fisher, who is going to essay the character, is the narrator of the video. He begins with telling the real name of Cyborg – Victor Stone.
He explains that before he became a half machine, he was a college athlete, a Quarterback in American football. After an accident disfigured him, his father fused his body with ‘advanced alien technology’. It gives him abilities that are beyond normal humans. For example, he can interact with any kind of technology.
Apart from that, he can mould his body into different weapons. As you can probably glean from the video, Cyborg will not be an easy enemy to deal with. He is, as Ray tells us, the perfect combination of the power of technology and the strength of the human heart. Justice League releases on November 17, and we can scarcely wait!
