Glen Powell is gearing up for the greatest inheritance battle in How To Make A Killing, watch trailer

Inheritances can be tricky, especially in a big family. But what if you’re thrown away from the very house that you’re one day supposed to inherit, thrown away from a legacy that is rightfully yours? To answer that exact question, actor Glen Powell is coming to theatres with his new film How To Make A Killing, in which he will try to scratch and gnaw his way back into the family inheritance, by hook or by crook.

The trailer opens up with the filmmaker explaining to us that Becket (Powell) isn’t leading a life of grunt work and misery by choice. His mother was apparently a part of the extremely rich Redfellow family, who are worth $28 billion. Her right to a part of this exorbitant amount of money was taken away when presumably she was thrown out of the family for being pregnant with him, or at least that’s what the trailer wants you to believe.

Becket Redfellow gets a bright idea from another character, who jokes to him about killing all his family members in order to get the inheritance. Even though this plan seems ludicrous and obviously very difficult to walk away from, as Beckett has a clear motive for the murders, he decides to go through with it anyway. With each murder, the number of eyes on Becket would only increase as he gets closer to realising his dream of being rich beyond logic.

However, not everyone is hoping Becket will fail or get caught. Some people seem to be counting on his success for their own selfish reasons. A heartbreak also seems destined to unfold, as Becket finds himself torn between his actual girlfriend and the woman who first suggested he go after the money. But all of that will play second fiddle to the fact that he has to kill seven members of his own family and walk away without even a shadow of doubt hanging over him, something that, judging by a few shots in the trailer, won’t be easy to pull off.
