There is a danger of World War 3 and there is an elite team ready to stop it– with some banter and plenty of action. The new trailer of the fourth installment of the action franchise Expendables has dropped and it sees new-gen stars joining the “world’s top action stars” in the mission.

The Expendables 4 features franchise regulars Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone, who are joined by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia.

“Terrorists have taken possession of nuclear missiles,” Garcia informs the viewers as the team of elite mercenaries get ready to go on the mission to save the world. “If these babies go off, there will be World War 3.” he concludes as the over two-minute-long trailer cuts to one action set piece after another– from hand-to-hand fight sequences to an entire ship going down.

“Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give ‘new blood’ a whole new meaning,” a note by Lionsgate Movies read.

The first installment of the franchise began in 2010, with a sequel in 2012. The third Expendables film released in 2014 and had underperformed at the box office, leaving the future of the franchise in doubt. Stallone had reportedly walked out of the franchise in 2017 due to creative differences, only to announce his return a year later as Barney Ross, the leader of the Expendables. The fourth installment of the film is likely to be his final appearance in the franchise.

Expendables 4 is set to release on September 22.
