Filmmaker Breck Eisner is all set to direct ‘The Karate Kid 2’.
The 43-year-old director, who last served behind the lens for 2010’s horror film ‘The Crazies’, has been tapped by Sony Pictures to direct the sequel that will bring back Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan together, reported Deadline.
The first movie directed by Harald Zwart was a remake of the 1984 film of the same name. It followed a young boy from Detroit, Michigan who moved to Beijing, China with his mother and got involved in
altercation with the neighbourhood bully.
The plot of ‘The Karate Kid 2’ is yet to be announced. Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff are expected to pen the
screenplay of the film.
