Actor Brad Pitt reportedly voluntarily took a drug test during the investigation into allegations of child abuse made against him. “The DCFS [Department of Community & Family Services] wouldn’t compel someone to provide the urine sample for the drug test; it would be voluntary,” a legal source has told Us magazine.
TMZ also reported that Pitt, 52, had offered to take a drug test shortly after the jet plane incident to prove that he had nothing to hide. A second source has confirmed this. The FBI is currently gathering evidence to evaluate whether to investigate Pitt on a federal level. It was reported that Pitt misbehaved with his kids on a private flight.
Pitt “has cooperated [with the investigation]. He certainly wants what’s best for his kids and for them to be in the best environment, and he’ll do anything that will put them in the best position,” a source said.
Jolie, 41, filed for divorce on Monday, September 19. The former couple has six children.
Also Brad Pitt, who is in news for his separation from wife Angelina Jolie, has announced he will not attend the premiere of director Terrence Malick’s “Voyage of Time” due to a “family situation”.
Pitt narrates Malick’s feature that examines the origins of the universe and of life on Earth. “Terrence’s Voyage of Time is an incredibly beautiful and unique experiential IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time,” said Pitt in a statement.
“I’m very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see,” he said.
Malick and Pitt, 52, worked together on 2011’s Oscar-nominated “Tree of Life”. A week ago it was reported that Jolie Pitt filed for
divorce from the actor after two years of marriage. Robert Offer, an attorney for Jolie Pitt said that the decision to divorce was made “for the health of the family.”
Meanwhile, Actress Courteney Cox wants everyone to leave her former Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston out of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s split. “It’s not about (Jennifer),” Cox said, reports people.com.
“I feel like we are exacerbating it by even talking about it,” Cox said about Aniston getting dragged into the divorce drama.
One day after Jolie filed divorce papers from Pitt, social media users reacted to the news by tweeting gifs and memes of Aniston, cheerleading and giving “I-told-you-so” faces among others. #JenniferAniston even became the second most popular trending topic on Twitter, behind #Brangelina.
Pitt and Aniston were married for five years before divorcing in 2005.
