Nicole Kidman has revealed that 2014 has not been her “favorite year”, both as an actress as well as personally.
The Oscar-winning actress lost her father Anthony Kidman from a heart attack in August this year, said the Hollywood Reporter.
“Personally (it’s been) really really really hard. My family underwent a massive tragedy. So not my favorite year. But I try not to be ungrateful – I’m grateful to be alive,” she said.
Kidman, 47, said she would be spending more time in Sydney with her mother and sister after losing her father.
“We’ve gone through a really tough time this year as a family. It’s so nice to be able to take care of each other,” she added.
On the big screen, Kidman’s year has been mixed with ‘Grace of Monaco’ widely panned, ‘The Railway Man’ receiving muted praise and ‘Before I Go To Sleep’ also dividing critics and stalling at the box office.
