Hot on the heels of its Meghalaya edition, NH7 Weekender, the multi-genre music festival, is set to take off for the 8th time in Pune at Mahalaxmi Lawns, Nagar Road from December 8 to 10, with a line-up featuring some big names across genres on the international music scene.
New international acts in the festival include American metal band The Dillinger Escape Plan, which will kickstart the festival, along with Dutch band Textures, of the same genre, both on their farewell tours and French rock band Colt Silvers.
Renowned filmmaker and singer-composer Vishal Bhardwaj will be breaking new ground with his first ever live-performance, based on his trilogy of films adapted from Shakespearean tragedies.
The line up also includes guitar icon Warren Mendonsa-led Backstrat Blues, singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad, Urdu-rock band Parvaaz, Ram Sampath besides festival regulars like Indian Ocean, Vir Das’s Alien Chutney and Delhi-based band Ska Vengers.
In an addition to its music-only format, the festival will be adding a comedy segment, featuring several popular Indian stand-up comedians; like Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kanan Gill and Sonali Thakker.
