Salman Khan leaves for US for nerve surgery

45 year old actor was suffering from pain in his jaw since 2007 while shooting for Partner.

Bollywood star Salman Khan has left for the US for a nerve surgery. The actor is suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia,a nerve disorder that causes intense pain in the face.

“Challo c u guys. On my way to fix the short circut in my nerve,take care n hope u like body guard…(sic)” the actor tweeted.

According to a source close to the actor,Salman,along with some of his family members,left for the US last night for the surgery.

The 45-year-old actor was suffering from the pain in his jaw since 2007 while shooting for “Partner”. It got worse last year following which he has decided to undergo a surgery. Salman is looking for a hat-trick of hits on Eid with “Bodyguard”,which releases tomorrow. “Wanted” (2009) and “Dabangg” (2010) were Eid blockbusters,which revived his sagging career.

Produced by Atul Agnihotri,”Bodyguard” stars Salman and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles. Salman’s bodyguard Shera will also be seen in a song,along with the actor and his ex- girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
