Oprah Winfrey splurges 500,000 pounds for staff holiday

Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey showed her generous side by taking her staff and their families on a cruise.

Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey showed her generous side by taking her staff and their families on an all expenses paid 10-day cruise trip around the Mediterranean.

The travel experts said that the cruise would cost the TV personality some 500,000 pounds.

The billionaire chat show host employs more than 100 people at her Chicago based TV production company which recently featured an interview with the parents of missing toddler Madeleine McCann,Daily Mail online reported.

Winfrey,who has a personal fortune estimated at over 1.5 billion pounds and an annual income of over 200 million pounds is know for her generosity.

The 55-year-old media mogul will reportedly join her staff on the cruise which will stop in Italy,Turkey,Greece and Malta.

Four years ago Winfrey had arranged a similar trip to Hawaii for all her staff and agreed to pick up the bill.
