The much-awaited trailer of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again was recently released and the reference to the ongoing spot-fixing scandal is evident in the first look.

“The trailer drives the point home in its opening shot itself when the captains of two cricket teams are shown to be waiting not for the umpire but for the ‘Don’ entering the stadium, presumably located in Sharjah. Given that there have been talks of the D-Gang controlling the betting syndicate,it is apparent that the makers smartly cashed in on current headlines and used the relevant shot from the film in the trailer,” comments an insider.

In fact,Shoaib (Akshay Kumar’s character) even quips that ‘he is not just a player in the game but the entire game itself.’

Balaji officials denied any conscious rework on the trailer to incorporate this shot.

“The trailer was always supposed to begin this way and this is the way it was put on the drawing board. In fact the film opens with the toss sequence and it was shot long back. It is a mere coincidence that the match-fixing issue arose recently. And in any case, cricket is not the mainstay of the film,” said a senior official.
