Nana Patekar to direct Ab Tak Chappan sequel

It may be recalled that Nana has directed a film called Prahaar way back in the early 90s.

A while ago,Ram Gopal Varma had announced plans of making a sequel to his cult film Ab Tak Chappan. The film,which released in 2004,starred Nana Patekar as an eccentric encounter cop and was directed by the talented Shimit Amin.

However,post the release of the film,there were a few issues between RGV and Shimit Amin. Hence,it came as no surprise when Ramu announced last year that the sequel will be directed by one of his old associates Sahil Saple. Now the latest is that Sahil too has walked out of the project owing to differences between him and Ramu.

In such a scenario,RGV has decided that the best person to direct the film would be actor Nana Patekar himself. It may be recalled that Nana has directed a film called Prahaar way back in the early 90s. It would be interesting to see if the maverick actor-director is able to re-create the magic once again with the sequel of Ab Tak Chappan.

Men who opened fire outside actor Disha Patani’s home killed in encounter in Ghaziabad

Two men belonging to the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar Gang were killed in an encounter in Ghaziabad, suspected to be involved in the firing outside Disha Patani's residence. The duo, identified as Ravindra and Arun, were wanted in multiple cases and were spotted by the police through CCTV footage. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had directed for a speedy investigation and strict action against the perpetrators.
