We want to tell Aarushis story. Theres a lot of curiosity and confusion about this case, that has seen several twists and turns. People should be aware about how our system works
After a successful run as a director,Milan Luthria has now forayed into production. His company,Vertex Motion Pictures is working on two scripts, one of them is based on Delhis famous Aarushi murder case. He confirms,We are still doing research on the subject, but as a company,we want to tell Aarushis story. Theres a lot of curiosity and confusion about this case, that has seen several twists and turns. People should be aware about how our system works. We should start the film in about four to five months. It all depends on the final judgement.
Luthria refuses to reveal the director who shall helm this project. It will not be correct to announce the name as we are still in the process of completing the paperwork, he said. While plans to venture into production were in the offing since the past one year,Luthria roped in ad-man and theatre personality Bugs Bhargava to direct a dark comedy film in January. Bugs is a top ad film guru, and a well-known guy,who has also been a part of so many interesting plays. He had been working on the script for the past 10 months and we have a brilliant bound script, which is rare. We wanted to make an announcement once we are ready. Presently,we are in the process of finalising the cast. Well go on floors in March-April next year.
Luthria is simultaneously working on two projects that hell direct. Talking about them,he says,Im going to be directing two films for T-series. I shall complete the script in another month. We are yet to finalise the cast, music director and locations. One of the film is a big action romance and the other will have a young star cast. A call has to be taken on which one will go on the floors first, he says. Rajat Aroraa and a team of writers are busy putting the finishing touches to the scripts.
