Mel Gibson directs Russian girlfriend’s music video

Grigorieva who is expecting the couple’s first child has been signed on by Gibson’s label ‘Icon Records’ which will release her latest compilation called ‘Beautiful Heartache’.

The black and white video was shot in a single day in Mexico City and features the 39-year-old classically-trained pianist playing the instrument in an empty music hall.

“It is naked,intimate,raw emotion,little more than piano and voice as if it is a cry from the soul,” said Grigorieva describing the song.

Meanwhile critics have slammed the single saying that it is something you would hear at a fancy hotel bar during cocktail hour.

Grigorieva first stepped out with the 53-year-old filmmaker at a Los Angeles screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on April 28,two weeks after Gibson’s wife of 28 years Robyn filed for divorce.
