Legal notice sent to ‘Delhi Belly’ makers

‘Delhi Belly’ is not only one of the biggest hits of this year but has also become a cult film of Bollywood in its own way. Though the film going audiences loved ‘Delhi Belly’,the content of film is still being questioned by certain section of people.

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court recently issued notices to Aamir Khan Productions,Department of Information and Broadcasting and Censor Board of Film Certification challenging the public exhibition certificate issued to ‘Delhi Belly’.

The said notices were apparently issued by the bench of Justice Uma Nath Singh and Justice Anil Kumar on a writ petition seeking to quash the certificate for public exhibition,on grounds that film had indecent,immoral,abusive language that it is clear violation of section 5B of the Cinematograph Act

The court has given the respondents four weeks time to file a reply.
